Welcome to the New Mexico Workers' Compensation Administration (NM WCA) Electronic Case Filing System User Guide. This page helps you get started quickly.

The Electronic Case Filing System allows attorneys, workers, employers, and other registered users to:
- File workers' compensation cases and related documents electronically
- Track filing status and case activity
- Manage profile and contact information
- View calendar events, including hearings and mediations
- Contact WCA support
Register
Use this section if you need to create an account, update your profile or signature, or reset your password. For direct links to both registration guides plus profile and password help, open Account Registration. The scenario cards below also point to the same topics.
Choose the option that best matches what you need
Each link takes you to the section of this guide that covers that task.
I don't have an account
Create an account and complete registration. The clerk will review your registration, and you will receive an email to set your password once your account is approved.
I need to log in and use the dashboard
Sign in to access your dashboard tiles, including Accepted, Rejected, Saved, and Submitted. Use the left menu to open E-Filing, Entry of Appearance, My WCA Cases, My MS Cases, My Calendar, and more.
I need to update my profile or signature
Update your profile information or upload your signature through the portal.
I need to file a new application
Start a new filing, choose the filing type, complete the required sections, and submit it through the portal.
My filing was accepted, and I need to add a pleading
Add a pleading, such as an Entry of Appearance or motion, to an accepted filing.
File an Entry of Appearance to add yourself to a case.
I need to view my WCA or MS cases
Access and manage your WCA and MS cases from the dashboard menu.
View hearings, mediations, and other scheduled events.
Use Contact Us to send a message to WCA support, or review the ECF FAQs for answers to common questions.
Review the rejection reason, correct the issue, and resubmit the pleading.
I need to reschedule a mediation
Reschedule a mediation through the portal if the requested date is more than 5 days away. For dates within 5 days or more than 75 days out, submit a Late Reset Request.
I'm new. What do I do first?
1. Create an account
If you do not already have an account:
- Open the Electronic Case Filing System.
- Click Create Account or Sign Up.
- Complete and submit the registration form. The clerk of court will review your registration. Once approved, you will receive an email with a link to set your password.

2. Log in and explore the dashboard
After your account has been approved:
- Click Login to ECF and sign in with your credentials.
- You will land on your dashboard, which includes tiles for Accepted, Rejected, Saved, and Submitted filings.
- Use the left menu to open E-Filing, Entry of Appearance, My WCA Cases, My MS Cases, My Calendar, and more.

3. File a new case (e-filing)
To submit a new application, such as an Application to Director:
- From the dashboard, click + New Filing.
- Select a filing type and click Proceed.
- Complete the Fetch EDI Details step, if applicable.
- Fill in all required sections, such as Worker, Employer, Accident, and Documents, using Save & Continue as you go.
- When you are finished, click Submit to send the filing to the clerk.

4. Add a pleading to an accepted filing
After a filing has been accepted, you can add pleadings such as an Entry of Appearance or motion:
- From the dashboard, open the Accepted Filings tile and select the filing.
- Go to the Pleadings tab and click Pleading.
- Enter the document name and type, then upload the file and click Save.
- Open the more menu on the document, select Submit, and confirm.

Open My Calendar to see hearings, mediations, and other events in month, week, or day views.
